I think some people think California has a trademark on "The Bay Area".

I'm surprised they haven't made a fuss about using "the coast" or "the ocean"...they probably think they own those phrases too. :mellow:

When I lived in Tampa I remember us calling it the bay area. The Tampa Bay area! Now I live in the Choctawhatchee Bay area. We just don't call it that.

This is true! I live in Southwest Florida (Naples, to be exact), and we call the Tampa/St. Pete area the Bay Area.

missionseeker, that's awesome you go to Ave! I go to their Latin Mass on Sundays when I'm home. It's beautiful!
