homeschoolmom
I need to pick a confirmation name... Any suggestions? Aside from just the name, I would need to know why I should select that one. Thanks. -_-

Colleen
My patron saint is St. Catherine of Siena My confirmation patron is St. Rose of Lima. Other cool saints are St. Therese of Lisieux, St. Teresa of Avila, St. Brigid, St. Faustina, St. Elizabeth of Hungary... ...and there's always Mary! here's an index of patron saints. Pray about it, and perhaps God will lead you right to the name. Thy Geekdom Come
Do you have any particular talents or hobbies or conversion stories that might relate to certain saints? I like St. Cecilia, personally...but she's the patroness of my diocese.

marielapin
My confirmation name was Faustina, after Saint Faustina who was canonized the year before I was confirmed. If you don't know who she is, maybe you know about the devotion to the Divine Mercy. She was its proponent. jp2_rules
St. John Mary Vianney is my Confirmation saint. But judging by your name, I don't think that'll help you much. He was such an awesome example of someone with a deep faith, devotion to Confession, and used the little things(much like Therese)to convert others. I just had to put in a good word for him ;-) As far as female saints, I like Therese, and Cecilia(I'm a musicain, and music is such an important part of my prayer life). There are LOTS of saints to choose from. Go read some books about them, and you'll probably find one that jumps out at you. God bless you in your search!!! BLAZEr
Blessed Gianna Beretta Molla Blessed Elizabeth Canori Mora St. Anne Lyne (she's a convert too!) Bl. Maria Corsini Quattrochi (my personal favorite) She and her Husband's cause for canonization is being pursued TOGETHER, as ONE cause. That means that if either one of them aren't saints, then neither of them are saints. It's a beautiful image of how Marriage is for them, the path of their holiness. Venerable Zelie Martin -- St. Therese of Liseux's mom!!! She's technically not a saint, but I don't think there would be a problem in taking the name of a Venerable, who will be beatified soon.
