Prayers are on their way for your healing and prayers of thanksgiving for your safety. WOW. Hail Mary full of Grace, the Lord is with you! Blessed are you among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus! Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death! AMEN. dUSt
Wow. I'm glad you survived. You weren't jamming out to the Massmatics CD too loud were you? I can see the headlines now, "Catholic Hip-Hop Responsible For 50 Car Pile-up on I-75"

Dave
Looks like I have a second batch of people to thank for the well-wishes and prayers! Thanks, y'all! And dUSt, you never cease to crack me up! Just so ya know, the CD is safe and sound at home. Another thing -- the State Trooper who worked my accident called today to give me some phone numbers to call for insurance purposes. He also said I was one of the only people he knew to be life-flighted to the hospital and released the same day! That's right -- the nearest hospital trauma center was in Atlanta, so they airlifted me there. The paramedics explained that it was just normal protocol for someone who has as bad an accident as that, regardless of how badly they're hurt, just to be on the safe side. Dave
Today my mom and I went to the towing company that towed my truck after my wreck on Wednesday to retrieve some items from it, such as my keys (since my house keys were on the keyring). Well, on seeing it, I was absolutely shocked to see just how badly destroyed it was; I was like, "I survived THAT???!!!" I shouldn't even have lived, let alone sustain minor injuries, despite the fact that I wore my seat belt! The roof was much flatter, the front end was smashed, and as a whole the truck was misshapen. The windshield was also busted, and all the windows on the left hand side as well as the back window were destroyed. The side-view mirrors were also gone. I took some pictures and plan to send them to Paladin, who has a scanner. Then, when he e-mails them back to me, I'll post them. There are only 3 reasons I survived -- Our Lord, Our Lady, and my guardian angel -- and I thank them abundantly!

Dave
Well, I just wanted to say that I think I'm probably ready to swim again. Problem is, I need a car to get me there, and I sure hope the insurance company doesn't drag its feet! Until then, I'm stuck here at my parents' house! It's a really stressful time for all of us here; please pray.
