Selah
Uh! Not to mention they bashed a perfectly good African song... What a mess. The entire video
VeniteAdoremus
I'm trying to think of something they didn't mess up... Building, vestments, music, liturgy, two sacraments, innate worth of womanhood... they're pretty thorough! I really can't get my head around them. I e-mailed one once, just to ask some stuff, and they told me I probably had a vocation to the priesthood. I wish they were ignorant. Then I'd be more hopeful. Justin86
I find this whole "Mass" offensive.
premed_jakey
and as bad as the "mass" video was, if you go to their website, it is even more disturbing. They "reject" the excommunication...Did someone let them know that isnt an option?
Justin86
I just went to their website. The picture of the broken world with the the children trying to mend it annoys the hell out of me. Edited August 6, 2008 by Justin86

Divided
I just went to their website. The picture of the broken world with the the children trying to mend it annoys the hell out of me.
When I was little I used to want to be a priest... kind of hard when I'm a girl. Then when I realized I couldn't, I didn't understand how that could be fair. Since then, I've obviously dropped the idea. But wow. Seeing women up on the altar made the whole thing a LOT clearer. Besides the fact that it is completely against Church teaching, all you have to do is watch. It doesn't look right. It doesn't feel right. I can't explain it, but having a woman say the words of Christ, having a woman saying Mass. RED FLAGS. Before now I've known that the place for a woman is not on the altar... but the visual drove home that point much much more clearly. (not that it wasn't clear already), but WOW. What bothered me was all the other people who were there (almost all women), supporting the whole thing. Who in the world ordained these women? Are you sure that they are well informed about what they are doing? That is just so, so....sad. I sense pride is at the root of this...and where there is pride, there is the devil carefully at work. urg.
mommas_boy
And who in God's name is wisdom Sophia???
I noticed that, too, but thought that they said "Princess Sophia". I immediately thought of that one scene in "How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days" ...
StColette
Where's the crucifix? Not that I would every want to see this happen, but what if a man came to them to be ordained? If the Church refused to ordain a man and he sought the womenpriests out for ordination. I wonder if they would ordain him

thessalonian
No Mass was performed. They ate bread and drank wine. I don't see a preist or a bishop. None of them are Catholic for they are automatically excommunicated. Sad. prayers.

And when I think about it too much, I do get upset. But... they're rather funny too.
