Okay, pham, let's play a game!

It's called, "How Many Liturgical Abuses and Latae Sentiae Excommunications Can You Find?"

Click here to watch the video. (10 minutes)

In all seriousness, though, these people are gravely misinformed, and probably hurting on many levels as well. Pray for them. :ohno:

Hmm...

I could've sworn I heard in the Sanctus when they came to the "blessed is He..." part that some were going to say it instead of their de-masculizing (is that a word?) to "blessed the one..."

:lol_roll: It just makes me laugh for some reason.

And who in God's name is wisdom Sophia???

Sophia is the Greek for wisdom. In the Scriptures, Wisdom is personified as a woman.

I think that's why it makes me laugh - that they know what they're doing when they do the weird things they do.

But, yeah, we should pray for them.

And all you Catholic women out there: show 'em what being a real Catholic woman is all about.

As a Catholic woman, I can say: real Catholic women don't stand for this. :ohno:

And yet we're made to look like we allow ourselves to be "oppressed". :(

The song at the end is a perversion of an old slave hymn, "We Shall Overcome". That bothered me more than anything else in the video.

I had the same reaction, but the theme was "From Racism to Reconciliation", after all. Probably just a convenient way to include "We Shall Overcome" without making an unprecedented parallel between the Civil Rights Movement and women's ordination (too late!).

That's a good one :)

After I watched this, I nearly threw up, and so I had to go watch something legit- the Nashville Dominicans' vocations video :saint: Prayers for these women and all who support them.

I found it slightly disconcerting that they prayed for "Benedict our Pope and Timothy our Bishop" after being so opposed to basic Catholic teaching.

I doubt that they know it, but the Wisdom of God is Christ.

Some things that struck me...

First, I wouldn't want to be found dead in those robes :)
Second, if they all say the "table prayer" together anyway, what do they need priests for?

They obviously all wear the same tie-dye vestments. It must be a rule. THIS IS OPPRESSION OF WOMEN!
