Just for the heck of it, and because of the ongoing Dark Knight-induced batmania, I decided to continue discussion from the Dark Knight thread/poll with some new Batman-related polls.

Vote, debate, discuss, enjoy!

I'd like to see The Riddler but I would also really be interested in what they could do with Poison Ivy and the Penguin. I would also like to see them bring back
Two-Face and Joker as I am not convinced that the former is dead and the latter was just left hanging (literally) in The Dark Knight.
But who could they bring back as Joker??? Not possible, IMO. Not possible. Especially after the performance Heath Ledger gave. Not possible.

It would be a great disservice to the franchise if they did away with the Joker. He is Batman's perpetual nemesis, one that never goes away. He's even in the current comic books as a main villain!

Again, as I pointed out in the other TDK thread, the same thing was said about the shoes Jack Nicholson left with his 1989 portrayal. And the same was said about Romero's take from the 60's.

Of the major bat-villains, the Riddler would probably most easily fit into Christopher Nolan's version of Gotham. But, as I've said earlier, he should be minus the campy costumes and such - make him a a vain and murderous psycho playing increasingly deadly and high-stakes games with the Dark Knight and the GCPD (Zodiac Killer kind of thing). Preferably his identity would not be learned by the good guys until near the end of the movie. Maybe not the most original story idea, though.
Poison Ivy would probably be a little too unrealistic and "cartoonish" for Nolan's tastes (presuming he does the next movie), and mine too, for that matter.
The early (since proven bs) rumors about the Penguin as a British arms dealer could actually be kind of cool. However, I think Mr. Cobblepot should best be kept a side character, rather than the main baddy. (And nothing like the Batman Returns Penguin, please!)
Harvey Dent is dead at the end of The Dark Knight. End of story. Get over it. While the Joker character is still alive in the movie, I think we can rest assured Ledger's death will keep him from appearing in any installment in the near future.
While Catwoman is a fan favorite for a future villain(ess), obviously she would probably not be the main bad guy (girl), having an ambivalent relation with Batman. While I like to see a hot babe running around in slinky spandex as much as the next guy, I think the character too easily risks becoming extraneous eye-candy.

The Riddler could be a cyber terrorist.

And Poison Ivy could be a biological weapons terrorist.

Catwoman would be cool but, as you said, couldn't be a main character because she isn't necessarily a "villain."

Arms dealer Penguin? That would be cool!

I heard that they might have the daughter of Ra's Al Ghul from Batman Returns as the villain in the next one.

White Knight

There are many possibilities, they can still clear up Scarecrows storyline, also Phalcony is still alive. Ra's Al Ghul is suspost to have found the fountain for immortality, however thats not realistic in these batman movies, so Ra's Al Ghul is dead.

My list would be for any future Batman villians for the 8th/3rd Batman movie.

Major Villians
1) Riddler (A Serious Riddler, not a Jim Carry one, but a dark, clever, evil riddler will do.)
2) Bane (Only if he isn't cheesy)
3) Scarecrow (Had a short lived role in the Batman Begins, and even shorter in the Dark Knight.)
4) Ra's Al Ghul (Hes suspost to be Immortal if I remember correctly)
5) Two Face (Directors and Writers can change their minds)
6) Joker (If recasted)

Mob Bosses.
1) The Mob Boss from Batman Begins, hes still alive.
2) ???????
3) Someone else within the Phalcony Family.
