You work for Delta?!

I love this site.
(By the way, don't go by my username! I wore my "Keep Delta My Delta!" pin proudly. Heck, feel free to adjust my username to DeltaIHS)

Yeah, see, I'm kind of an airplane guy. But anyways...
What do you do for them, Dust? Or if that isn't disclosable, I understand...I hear they keep their Catholic Ninja Charter Ops kind of under wraps...
I have a litany of bad experiences in O'Hare myself. Who hasn't?
I have to fly cross country a few times a year (yay for going to school on the opposite coast from where you live...) and I have refused to fly through O'Hare.

My worst experience was flying through Vegas. My plane got delayed leaving BWI, so I missed my connection in Vegas. It was 1am. The next flight they could get me on was 9am. So, they gave me a hotel voucher for this crappy-little-thing-off-of-the-strip-that-scared-the-crud-out-of-me-because-I-thought-I-was-going-to-get-raped-or-mugged-and-I-did-not-like-being-a-19-yr-old-all-alone-that-night.

I don't like flying through Vegas, either.

My favorites are Dallas/Fort Worth, and Denver.

JM + JT

Leaving Notre Dame back in June my flight to Chicago was cancelled, so I went on a 3-hour bus ride over there.

When I arrived, I went through the e-ticket thing since my dad checked me in online and when I tried to check in my bag it said it was too late.

I called my dad - he works for Virgin Atlantic Airways (amazing first class!) - and he told me to get the supervisor; he said they can sometimes rush people to the gate.

I went looking for the supervisor but ended up with this lady who was Vice Supervisor or something and when I realized how unhelpful she was I asked her for her boss.

She refused. <_<

I missed the flight and so it came time for hotel business. I went back in line all frustrated and ended up with this really nice guy who was very helpful and even the real supervisor came for a second and was also very nice - until the Wicked Witch of the MidWest came along for no apparent reason and was once again very rude and made me cry out of frustration.

Never again. :annoyed:

:clapping: I work at DFW and enjoy it when people say they like coming through my airport.

I've got to say that as far as connecting airports go, I enjoy BOS, MSP, and ATL.

Never flown through Vegas. My best experiences would be Tokyo (Narita) and ATL.

I really don't like Narita. It might be that I am always very tired when I transfer there but there never seems to be anything to do there.

I always liked Tampa's airport. It's very easy to navigate in a wheelchair. That can't be said for all airports.

Well, admittedly everything is in Japanese, but the people there are incredibly friendly and at least in my experiences seem to be well versed in English. I like it.

Hong Kong is a nice place to transfer. It's all chilled and relaxed. And there's free wifi all over the place! I could sit at the gate at the other end of the terminal and still update my blog!
I probably need to appreciate Heathrow and Schiphol (Amsterdam) a bit more...
...oh, and when I transferred between Newark and JFK there were two ladies at the former who, well - they weren't rude, but they had no sense of humour. But the guy who transferred me to JFK was really cool and funny.
JFK felt very empty (but it was 1st April, maybe that had something to do with it). And the people there wanted to hear me say "aluminium" Crackers, completely crackers!

Ahhh..the memories. Ok back on topic. Whatever the topic was.
