M.SIGGA
I can understand why so many Christians are upset about the Same-Sex Unions around the nation now being definded under the term of Marriage, which was once reserved as the word labeling the union of a man and woman under GOD. Now President Bush after just a couple weeks of this going on has decided an Amendment to the Constitution needs to be proposed to stop what he calls actions that are destructive to our western society. Hello? What I would like to know why President Bush and so many other Pro-life politicians in Washington who many many Americans will cross party lines to ensure their election over the single issue of abolishing abortion will not step up to propose an Amendment to the Constitution to protect the unborn. Since Roe v. Wade, Nixon served 1 year, Ford served 3, there was 12 years of Reagan and Bush Sr. and it's been 4 years of George W. How long is it going to take if ever? How many babies were murdered under the watch of pro-life Chiefs and why hasn't the Republican Party and BlueDog Democrats put money where the mouth is? In the case of slavery and black suffrage President Linclon bypassed court rulings by declaring conflicting resolutions null and void for freedom. Why is abortion being moved to the backseat again when it is one of the foremost issues that keeps these politicians in office? Bush had a Republican House and Senate so why wasn't this even brought up? From January 2001 until September 11 the economy was good and America was doing alright so why wasn't this even mentioned - someone totally prolife and concerned about the massacre of the unborn would have had this issue first in mind above all others. Not to mention abortion is a merciless slaughter of human life, defies the unalienable rights garaunteed by the Constitution, and as a born-again Christian shouldn't defending human life, God's creation and miraculous gift, be first at all costs? I don't like being duped and I'm starting to believe they don't care as much as we do. Nullifying the marriages of a thousand gay couples with a Constituational Ammendment is hardly more important than doing whatever is humanly possible to stop the murder of millions of American babies. This is the biggest threat to our society and civilization because a million citizens have been killed since 1973 under the eyes of our "pro-life" politicians.
