Are you saying I'm old? :P

I have no idea. She was the sister of a student of mine when I was in college. Since that was 17 years ago and she was about 9, I'm guessing she very well could be.
I had no idea there was a tradition with the groom throwing something to the next person whose supposed to get married. What exactly is a garter?
Edit: changed the link so isn't scandalous.

I'm not a big fan of the garter toss, although I like the bouquet toss. I don't know whether I'll do it or not.

It's worn around the thigh.

That is the only way I have seen it done. I didn't know there WERE "scandalous" things done with it...

It wasn't a mass, but yes.
yes, especially if i'm wearing my colored-splashed wedding dress.

I didn't do the garter. I didn't want anyone to see I was wearing sneakers under my gown.

if the guy can find and get the garter from under my dress in the previous thread then more power to him. Otherwise...he's out of luck.
:lol_pound: Thank you for making my night, ladies! :lol_pound:

Uh, yeah. All the way through our nearly 2-hour nuptial Mass (our priest was incapable of doing a normal Sunday Mass in 1 hour, usually going for 1.5, so we warned everyone the nuptial Mass would be rather long. It was beautiful, though, and he chanted some of it).

How else would it get up there? There's not really an opportunity to put it up there after the wedding...
