Justin86
No. It's just really lame. I thought you were an agnostic by the way.
MRSannie
I must be one of those too. I don't think they are opposed either (not necessarily everything Darwin said or wrote, but the idea of natural selection makes sense, and God as Creator can use any method He chooses, right?) MRSannie
Well, I am not agnostic. I am a Roman Catholic convert. One of the beauties of the Catholic Church is DRAMATICALLY highlighted here in the Protestant Vatican (I am serious, the town we live in is called that in the brochure from the chamber of commerce!) ----that science and faith are not opposed. Truth is truth, and when science hits the nail on the head (or rather, man's correct discovery of science), there is no incompatability. That 'Creation Museum' I read about in Newsweek (I think it is located in KY or somewhere near there) is ridiculous. How on earth a 33 million dollar testimony to ignorance can be constructed is beyond me. Where we live there are TONS of Fundies, and me and my kids are 'challenged' on a regular basis. No WONDER my oldest is atheist, she has been surrounded by some pretty dramatic fundies. (although I do believe some of her opposition to the faith is grounded in rebellion in general, and in some pride, too).
Selah
"How can there be too many children? That is like saying there are too many flowers..." I love that one <3 "Warning-Protected By St. Michael" That Our Lady of Guadalupe one is awesome "If it's not a baby, you're NOT pregnant!" "To Jesus through Mary" "Evolution is the miracle" Okay, I like that (I'm a theistic evolutionist as well) That trinity symbol is awesome "Irish Catholic" w00t! Golly, when i buy my car, it's gonna be tricked ouuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut...
Deb
I know a woman whose husband makes a 22k gold leaf rosary that adheres to your car. (He does fancy printing and car painting and stuff.) My sis has one on hers and they are awesome. Not huge but, you notice them and when the sun hits it, it just lights up. I got one for a confirmation gift and can't find it so have to buy another one. Farsight one
No, I recall Farsight one claiming to be an agnostic on here before.
If I were agnostic, why would it say "Religion: Catholic" below my avatar? And thank you for insulting me, btw.
MRSannie
I wondered about that, you know, the avatar. Wow, in my town a Jesus fish kissing a Darwin fish would mean my car would get keyed!!! Or at least folks would cut me off in traffic ! Or at least I would get a 'ARE YOU SAVED??' pamphlet tucked under my windshield wiper blade...... But I am reminded of a saying - "stand up for what is right, even if you stand alone" P.S. - what about my avatar? You can't tell, but he's wearing a priestly collar. Oh...and to keep this relatively on subject, I like the sticker with MLK Jr, Ghandi, and Mother Theresa next to each other. That's one of my favorites. MRSannie
I wondered how you were supposed to be agnostic and why under your avatar it said 'Religion: Roman Catholic' You know what bumper sticker I despise? those 'COEXIST' ones--- don't have a particular reason why, they just bug me

MRSannie
I guess I hate them because NEXT to them is always some 'Nirvana' thing or 'vegan' thing or some new age sticker or anti-religion sticker on the back of the subaru or hybrid or whatever. Wow, do I sound like Archie Bunker or what??!!
Selah
Vegans are bad? *hides* Okay, I'm not quite one, but I've thought of it for some time. But I love archie bunker, so no worries! Well, edith more than archie...can you blame me?
