Vocations Are Everywhere

I just learned that a guy my age in a town North of mine is thinking about the Priesthood. Today at Mass there was a Seminarian, and I was there (a seminarian wannabee in the process), and one of my friends is considering becoming a brother for the Glenmary order. Its just funny learning about others trying to serve the Lord.

You guys have any vocation news/stories???

My parents said yes (surprisingly) to letting me go on a 5 day retreat at a local Benedictine Abbey for guys interested in the monastic life.

Theologian in Training

I am in my second semester of my second year of theology. God-Willing I will be ordained a deacon next year. I have already received the two "minor ministries" of lector and acolyte. It goes by so fast, I cannot believe I am about to finish my second year of theology...wow!

Otherwise, I have a midterm in my Mission and Ministry course tomorrow, just fnished my other one in American Christianity, have a case study that is due, and will have a few more when I return from Spring Break.

Oh, and I just recently became a Second Degree Knight of the Knights of Columbus

God Bless

Stupid or not, it is much needed after 6 classes, a heavy seminary schedule, and field education. ;)

Appreciate the prayers

God Bless
