My wife and I got married on June 14th and spent a week in Alaska on a cruise ship for our honeymoon.

Then, last week, in the midst of packing our condo up to move to an apartment where I am working, we found out that we are pregnant!!!!!!!!!

We are so excited and will be going for an appointment as soon as our medical benefits kick in Aug 1. Please pray for a healthy pregnancy for our little sprout and my wife!!

Pictures will be coming as soon as we get them!

Do any of the mothers on here have any recommendations for books or other literature that we could read about how to make this a happy, holy, and healthy pregnancy?

Congrats!!!!!! Welcome to the honeymoon baby club!!! ROFL! It's a great experience. I can't believe I'm already at month 6 rofl! If her morning sickness gets bad tell her to have the doctor prescribe Zofran!!! It's safe and a life saver!

As for books:

I'm doing natural child birth called The Bradley Method. Even if you don't want to natural childbirth it gives you some great tips on the transitions through pregnancy and labor. Techniques for you to help her to relax during pregnancy and labor. I would recommend any Bradley Method book, especially the Husband Coached one. It's a great source for dads to learn how to deal with the wife's changing body during and after pregnancy and helping her during delivery.

Umm a book called "The Womanly Art of Breastfeeding" is a wonderful source for soon to be and new moms. The benefits of breastfeeding are outstanding. I learned in one of my Bradley classes that when the baby is sick and breastfeeding the germs will transfer into the mother and her body will make antibodies which will mix in with the milk to help make the baby better!! Totally amazing!!

I like the "What to Expect when you are Expecting" book.

"Your Labor of Love" is a book published by Tanbooks on motherhood.
