rkwright
Here are my two... The left is an ESP M-250. Its fast and plays nice, I like the tone pretty good, especially the single coil. It plays the metal lead pretty well too. I got 'bored' of the solid black so I 'striped' (not permanent) it. My little tribute to eddie... The right is my Gibson Les Paul Double Cut. I love this one. The pictures don't do the emerald green finish justice. I found it on ebay 7-8 years ago for $600, new in the box... a steal! those go new now days for $1,500. I think it actually sounds better with the distortion than the ESP, just that les paul sound I guess.
Nihil Obstat
Does anyone here have a Hagstrom? Especially a Viking Deluxe, but any Hagstrom in general? I loooove hollowbody electrics, and the Viking line is exceptionally priced, plus I've heard nothing but good things about Hagstrom. I played one for a few minutes, and did enjoy that special fretboard that they like to brag about. It's not as good as my Strat, but my Strat is old and extremely well made, so that's to be expected. Nihil Obstat
Oh my, that's very nice. I always did like that look. Although I like it more as a hollowbody.
CatherineM
Here's a picture of the only one of my guitars that survived the purge. When people see the gig bag, they think it's a tennis racket, and when they see the guitar, they think it's some kind of uke or lyre. How does it play? What brand is it? ...and is it comfortable to play while sitting?
Jesus_lol
nope, not comfortable. we have one of theose style/size guitars(though with a different body shape) and you need to use the strap all the time. cool to have, though.
CatherineM
Mine's a Martin. It plays surprisingly well, a bit short on the bass side. It is plenty loud enough. When I want to play it sitting down I have a little thing that suctions to the bottom. Here's a picture of it:

I love the resonance you can get out of it. I know electrics a million times better... what brands are considered the very best in terms of quality? I know electrics about as well as anyone who isn't a professional (and probably as good as many), or people that sell them.
Jesus_lol
cort makes good, decent acoustics. generally well priced and sound good, come with cutaways and preamps. they are much better made than the cort electrics seagull is a good canadian made brand. their guitars have a wider fretboard, so they are easier to fingerpick cleanly on. I've always been attracted the the absolute highest end electrics, like Fender and Gretsch. Sometimes Gibson. Who makes the most expensive acoustic guitars? Except not classical. I wouldn't ever consider a guitar for classical only.
