Chiquitunga
Thanks, therese! This is such a beautiful movie! I think it's my favorite, though I also love Teresa de Jesus very much. I was reallly blessed that one of my friends last year recorded it for me, as I don't get EWTN. There are also clips from it on YouTube, though it's not the whole thing, which is like 5 hours long. I hope everyone who didn't get to see it last year will have the chance this time. I emailed Ignatius Press about this, and how I was wondering if it will ever come out in American DVD format with the English subtitles (note: it is available at her shrine in Chile in US format, just no subtitles, info on how to buy this here) and they said, "We have received several requests for this film in both VHS and DVD formats. However, rights are owned by a Chilean television station and are unavailable to the North American market so far." Thanks again, therese, for posting!
I bought an all-format DVD player on eBay last year to watch a series released in England, which wasn't going to be released in the US. It's actually hacked to play all-formats--the seller gave me a code to program the player. It cost $30 w/ $20/ shipping (ripoff). if you are going to play a lot of non-US dvd's, it might be worth buying one of these.

Thomist-in-Training
Thanks for posting this! I get home from work at 5 central so I will try to remember to check this out, sounds enjoyable!
tinytherese
It certainly is good. Just so you know though, the first episode is slow and doesn't have as much to do with the saint personally. A lot of it is about her family. An admirer of hers is even introduced. I totally recommend this to the carmelite at heart and those who might be. TotusTuusMaria
This is my favorite movie too, and one of my absolute favorite Carmelite saints. Here is the link too where you can order her letters, her diary, and two other books on her. To my knowledge, these are the only ones that have been translated into English. I found that a lot of the more beautiful things she says in the movie are taken from her letters. Thomist-in-Training
Someone help quick!! How can I find out what channel EWTN is in my area?
Laudem Gloriae
Do you have DirectTV or Dish satellite TV? Or cable? I have Direct TV satellite and it's channel 370 for me here in Texas. But being Direct TV, it should be the same channel number all over the country? Sorry, I don't know what channel number it would be on the Dish satellite or your local cable company. If you have one of these, you might have to call them or check their website. EWTN is only on a these 2 satellite providers and cable (TimeWarner has it in my area) that I know of. Thomist-in-Training
It's cable. Maybe I'll figure it out tomorrow but I watched it streaming today, so I can do that tomorrow if need be. Thanks!
