I REALLY NEED ONE. I kind of sort of have a couple.

I am not a talker so I need someone who will help break that barrier with me. This one priest who I absolutely love and talk to every now and then is an amesome person but I don't think I can get what I need from him. I also have a sister I talk to who is also aweosme and a person I love to be with but I really don't see her ways helping me.

I pray everyday for God to send me someone. Someone who I can feel comfortable talking about my inner most being with. Things that I do not even share with my friends they are so private. Things that I am even unsure. I want that one friend, one spiritual director- who will be there for me and that I can trust. I think trust is the biggest thing. I do not talk much about my spiritual life because I find it hard trusting others with my personal conversations. I hate that I am like that...because most of my friends I DO trust (especially you all on here that are even probably reading this...)

I pray and pray so much for this!

I have one, but I am thinking of changing. To me it is as if my spir dir doesn't listen, like he is thinking about what he is doing next or something else. I'm not completely comfortable telling him everything...I don't completely trust him and I don't think he understands MY spirituality. I also want someone with more experience. I my spir dir is a GREAT priest, but not right for me as a spir dir...

I found my SD through Opus Dei. He is great....I love him so much. God has been so good to me to put Fr. Mike in my life. I highly recommend contacting Opus Dei if you are fortunate enough to live close enough.

There are 60 centers in or near 19 cities: Boston; Chicago; Dallas; Delray Beach, Florida; Houston; Los Angeles; Miami; Milwaukee; New York; Pittsburgh; Princeton, New Jersey; Providence; St. Louis; San Antonio; San Francisco; South Bend, Indiana; South Orange, New Jersey; Urbana, Illinois; and Washington, D.C.

Otherwise, I would strongly suggest asking your Parish Priest, or writing your Bishop. Ask and you will receive, seek and you will find.

Peace.

For the longest time my spiritual director was a little old methodist lady. She knew more about loving God than anybody I knew.

I don't have one right now, but I'm looking and prayer that I will find one. There is one sister who would be great, but she lives really far away and it's much better to meet in person rather than email or talk on the phone. She's been really helpful with my discernment, though.
I'm thinking of asking my parish priest. I wasn't to sure about him for a while, but now I think he would be good.
