I know what you mean. I actually stop AND step out of my car while waiting for the train to go by (doesn't hurt to stretch the kids legs) and I get stares as if to say "You better not slow me down once the tyrain is finished passing by."

ITS A TRAIN for crying out loud, its pretty easy to tell when its coming to and end and in either case, it won't be an extra 15 seconds over the 15 minutes left idle that will make a difference in anyones life.

St. Colette...2 hours?! Geez. I'd definitely turn off the motor after a few minutes, but wow.

Our state legislature announced yesterday that it's repositioning the budget to offset for the fact we won't be raising the gas tax for the first time since the embargo. While I hate gas taxes here (among the highest in the nation), I can understand the idea; any other tax doesn't hit the welfare families as hard, and that's at least one in three families.
