icelandic_iceskater
A friend and I were just discussing this... if a catholic doesn't fully believe that Our Lord is present in the Blessed Sacrament should they still receive? What if they want to believe, and take concrete steps to get there, but still have doubts?
Brother Adam
When you say "Amen" you say "I Believe" and affirm what it is you are receiving. If you do not believe in the Lord's true presence you should refrain from receiving Him. We all at times have doubts about our faith, but can still make an act of the will to choose to believe. If we make an act of the will to not believe, we should refrain from receiving Jesus in His Eucharistic presence.
