Patron Saint Of Finding A Job?

A friend of mine is in serious need of a job, but currently can't find one because she is sick and apparently can't do much online. Does anyone know if there is a certain saint she could pray to for their intercession for her?

May God bless and protect you always in all of your endeavors!

Your Brother in Christ,

Joe

The patron of the unemployed seeking employment, to my knowledge, is St. Expeditus. Seriously. There's a statue of him in a church in New Orleans that people pray in front of when they need a job quick. If you aren't in the Big Easy, I'm sure that praying to him normally would work just as well. ;)

I only found mine from a google search, but it looks legit enough for me.
Although I know that there's lots of saints that share patronage. :)
At least three for weather, good weather, rain... :)

I prayed to St. Jude for a while... not about finding a job, but things felt pretty deperate.
Now things are good. :) I thanked him.

Do you have a good source talking about St. Expeditus' existence? All the articles I've seen question his existence and the origins of the devotion:

I mean, I guess if he has a feast day, that means something? Right?

Yeah...actually, the first time I ever heard of St. Expeditus, it was in the context of a "saints about whom we know very little" discussion. All we know is that people began calling this unnamed martyr "Expeditus" (probably after seeing the word 'expedite' on the crate with his bones). I say stick with the name - it might not be as accurate as we'd like, but it gets the job done. :P

He was supposed to have been a Roman soldier, and there's a great image of him out there...he's holding up a Cross that says hodie (today) and stepping on a crow which holds a banner in its mouth that reads cras (tomorrow). So cool...

My namesake. ;)
It's fun that we have patron saints of basically everything. :)

She's not officially a "patroness" - at least not yet - but Blessed Jeanne Jugan has been successfully invoked many times by those seeking employment. She was a poor working woman herself for many years until, and even for a while after, she took in her first poor elderly woman. That act in 1839 led to the founding of the Little Sisters of the Poor.
