Dave said it well...and the rest of y'all.

In the end, I came away very consoled.

I felt extreme joy and profound gratitude. Gratitude that caused me to sit and just be in that feeling, for it permeated my whole being into immobility.

Two people applauded and for some reason I was very irritated with that... like, it sounded stupid.

Then after about five minutes of sitting there, I felt like I needed to hurry up and get busy trying to be a better person. It was a feeling of urgency... kind of like realizing that you're not going to live in this world, as we know it, forever.

On the way out of the theatre I said prayers for Mel Gibson and Jim C. and all the rest because I had the feeling that, you know who, is royally p.o.'d and will do his best to thwart anything positive resulting from folks seeing this movie. The St. Michael The Archangel prayer is one I am trying to say more each day.

just to give you all an update on how i felt afterwards. i sing in the choir at my church and i had to go to mass the next day. i think i've always had some kind of issue with the eucharist, like i know it's suposed to be jesus, i believe it, but some how it's just not registering when i recieve him. I've also heard of ppl who get all emotional when they recieve the eucharist, and i'm more devout than some ppl i know and i've always wondered why that's never happened to me. i mean everytime i'm in line for communion i always focus on the eucharist and i pray something to the effect of "Precious Jesus i know it is you who i recieve.....i am one with you and you are one with me...help me to remember it is not feelings that dictate my faith, but true faith in you and your church". anyways this time, someone in the choir was singing a solo for "above all" at communion, and while i was in line some of the scenes were flooding back with the scouraging, nailing, and the last supper, while i was praying, but i couldn't get past "i know this is you" and it was all i could do to keep from crying when i recieved communion. i couldn't even sing the rest of the song when i got back to my seat, i just sat there crying and kept saying "thank you".

i still think i need to see it again tho, my grandma wants to see it, maybe i'll take her ^_^

For this poll, I chose, "I didn't feel anything."

Now, don't tar and feather me! I did get a little teared up in places, but I tend to deal with grief differently than other people. Of course I found the move to be powerful, well made, and worth my ticket expense times ten. It is just things that make other people cry kind of make me shut down emotionally.

I grieve differently.
