This pole is broken!

There are 2 disapproves up there, hello?

Besides disapprove is too close to the word approve for me and it makes me nervous. I don't want any hanging chad episodes or my vote going to Pat Buchannan, okay?

The pole should ahve been:

Would you give George The Fail?

Option 1: Yes

Option 2: Definitely

I think he has failed miserably at a number of things which could have benefitted our country and our world. Because of his monumental screw up, our nation is poised to elect the most liberal person since FDR simply because he represents "change." The fact that Bush has accomplished some good is completely overshadowed by the atrocious job he's done otherwise.

And I say that, having voted for him in '04 and still supporting the War in Iraq.

If you approve of the Iraq war, what do you think he's failed at so miserably?

(Honest question - most criticism of Bush tends to revolve around the war.)

For starters, I believe that what has become known as "the surge" should've been done all along, focusing on ensuring security for the elected government of Iraq. I think we should've been reaching out to the sectarian rulers from day one, trying to get them to lay down their arms and be included in the political process. The strategy of Gen. Petraus (sp?) has worked precisely because it incorporates discussion and tactical strikes, something I believe was not done nearly enough during the first 3-4 years of our war effort.

FDR is creditted with "lifting our nation" from the Depression, when, in fact, all of his social programs were declared unconstitutional. Entering into World War II was what saved us, not FDR, whose legacy is that he expanded the powers of the presidency, paving the way for jackholes like Bush to stomp on our civil liberties.
