Did anybody watch Mel Gibson on the Tonight Show last night?

James Caviezel (devout Catholic actor who played Jesus) is going to be on tonight. I'll be watching. You should too.

i watched it last night. it was pretty amesome! i was really surprised when Jay said he went and saw it (and described a couple of scenes, so you could tell he wasn't just saying that). I thought it was really cool too, how at the end of the interview, Jay shook Mel's hand and said, "Thanks for having the courage of your convictions."

yeah, Jim's gonna be on Leno tonight. Leno couldn't stop laughing last night at the thought of interviewing the Average Joe and Jesus in the same night.

I thought that interview was amesome last night. Jay asked Mel if he knew any of the dead languages and Mel was like, "I know a smattering of Latin, you know, in vino veritas" or something like that. I'm not sure that that quite makes sense in latin, but anyway, it was cool.

i wish i could find the transcript of it. it's really worth seeing.

It was an amesome show. I thought the opening monologue was hilarious (humour in good taste) and the crowd went wild in support of the film. Good stuff!

yeah, everything leno said about the movie was really positive. i was wondering if it was just cuz mel was there. but then at the end when he said, "Thanks for having the courage to stand up for your convictions," i changed my mind. i think he was really sincere!

In his opening monologue, Leno joked that the movie, which cost Gibson $30 million to make, was doing so well that "there's now talk of turning it into a book."
