you didnt ask, why is abstinence, in my opinion, better; you asked, why is abstinence better especially motivated by unchristian, puritanical lies. that question is not going to get a positive reaction from me, nor the answer you were probably looking for. i suppose you could make your own judgment, as well as assumptions, make your own changes in your own life. and go from there.
I apologize, for the misunderstanding, Lord, i reluctantly forgot i had recently made the decision to retire from debates in general. i actually made the mistake by offering my honest (and, at the time, what seemed an innocent,) reply to the thread. you can also give your self the benefit of the doubt and not be surprised to not see me post in the debate table again. (it is not personal, but take it as you may,)
