goldenchild17
mmm, I thought this would be old news by now. I go to Mass served by the schismatic order and there hasn't been talk about it in quite awhile. Everything's back to normal on our end.
HollyDolly
Thanks anyways for posting this. By the way,do the schissmatic sisters still wear the old habit,or did they change it to be different?Hopefully they will come back to Holy Mother Church someday. I actually had an email debate with one of them about loyalty to the Holy Father, the New Mass, etc. I don't know if she was one of them who returned to Rome. I love their habits! they're BEAUTIFUL! the lords sheep
Does anyone know the difference between the full cappa and the partial one? For example, some of them have the white cappa that covers the shoulders and others don't. Is it a profession thing? Hmmm... Laudem Gloriae
In response to "the lords sheep", I clicked on the last picture of the sisters in their chapel and the caption said something like "on the day of their new habits" or "mass/celebration of their new habits" - trying to go by memory here! So maybe the full cappa was the OLD habits and the partial or smaller one is the NEW habits? Trying to change their image/habit as they entered the church and changed from being schismatic to returning to Rome? Shedding the old image? Well, that's what I thought when I saw the 2 different style habits.

goldenchild17
I'm sorry. I'm not sure if your agreeing with me or not (it's late ). The CMRI sisters who did NOT reconcile with Rome (i.e. stayed sedevacantist nuns) have not changed their habit. Those who broke away from the CMRI to reconcile with Rome DID take on a new habit. Gemma
The last pictures in the link show the srs and their new habits. The "full cappa" as it's been described (although we here at Cloister Outreach call it a capelet), was what the CMRI sisters wore. They are the sedevacantists. The Srs of Mary, Mother of the Church, are wearing a "partial cappa"--the triangularly-shaped collar. The blue stripe on their white veils pays homage to the Missionaries of Charity who brought them Home to Rome. Hope this clears things up.
