So when i was about 15 i gave 10 inches of my hair to locks of love. its almost grown all the way back to the length it use to be...just 3 more inches and im there. Im not gonna give 10 again anytime soon. i hated short hair...my hair is naturally curly so i had to straighten it every day for 3 months cause i couldnt pull it back. Too much torture. I wanna donate again though. made me feel special. Im thinking im gonna let it grow 12 more inches then i'll cut off 12. so it'll be past my shoulders afterwards.. not to my ears. Sound good?? lol It's random. i know but i've been noticing how long its been getting and im stoked. :clapping: :twist: :hippie: :yahoo:

I haven't cut mine since my husband proposed almost 3 years ago. He likes long hair. I don't really have a preference, so I figured if it made him happy, then okay. He keeps talking about wanting to dip it in an ink well. He is so weird.

I cut my hair short and it was SO managable. But my dad likes it long. He also hates when I straighten it. I'm waiting for a time when I grow-up more and my hair gets a bit more strength to it... its downy soft like baby hair and its impossible to style.

I let mine grow really long before I donated it so that it would below my shoulder when I donated it. It worked out great.

I've been growing mine out and donating since 7th grade or so. I love how short and light it feels right after I get it cut. lol

P.S. anyone know any guys who've donated hair? I've always wanted to meet a guy who did that...

I had long hair until I started playing basketball in 5th grade. It hasn't been this long in a very long time. I'm trying to remember how to braid it. I used to have my mom to help. Something tells me that my husband wouldn't be much help with that.

My friend's dad got me into it. of course...sadly he passed away from a massive heart attack before he could donate it. i think they still gave it to locks of love afterwards.

When i donated my hair, parts were shorter than i thought, so it had to be cut shorter.

Lets just say that I'm going to be waiting longer before cutting it, this time.

My hair is UBER thick and a light chestnuty color with natural highlights.

Like, really really really thick... I feel like i have a squirrel tale attached to my head, most days... but it's thicker than that. Like an entire squirrel...
