Peta Targets Mel Gibson

I'm a vegetarian, but that's only because I don't want to support factory farms that abuse God's creation. I have no problem with eating meat, it's just the factory farms that degrade God's creation.

And by that stance, I totally support what Mel Gibson is doing. He is raising animals up humanely and not supporting the cruel factory farms. God did give us animals to eat, but not to abuse and degrade...

I think Mel is on the right track and I support him wholeheartedly.

PETA makes us vegetarians look bad.

abortion is not the holocaust because, if i remember correctly jews were killed in the holocaust, not unborn babies.

thanks for the quotes btw.

it does seem like they are elevating animal rights a bit high. but they are upholding my earlier hierarchy: humans > animals > plants > things

Holocaust killed 5-6 million jews, 5-6 million catholics, 10 million ukranians, God only who else.

The holocaust was a slaughter of innocents.

What the hell do you think 40 million babies is?

What the hell do you think 40 million babies is?

ukranian jewish catholics? :P

my original refutation was merely a mockery of her logic:

take for example, PETA call animal cruelity the holocaust. thats not true. people died in the holocaust, not animals.

the holocaust of today is not chickens in a slaughter but unborn babies being killed in abortion mills from their mother's womb. theres a difference becuz people are dying because of it.

anyway, thoughts on PETA?

I'm not sure why you would mock her logic, it made perfect sense to me. Maybe we just read Flowery's posts differently.

On to Peta. They're all on crack.

The end. :P

Mocking my logic in that post is fine I suppose, it was meant to make people laugh rather than get into the actual discussion at hand. Actually, since I wasn't aiming for logic in that portion of my post I guess its pretty stupid to try and mock something that wasn't there to begin with. lol

PETA equates animals with humans.

Save the whale, kill the baby.

PETA uses shock value to proclaim their "message".

Because of this, most people find them laughable and pathetic, and therefore any value to their message is lost.

Animals should be treated humanely, this is a teaching of the Church starting in Genesis, not something invented by PETA.

PETA never advocates lowering human rights in anyway. therefore, the second half of your claim "Save the whale, kill the baby." is groundless.

Animals should be treated humanely, this is a teaching of the Church starting in Genesis, not something invented by PETA.

ok, this is true but irrelevant. PETA doesn't claim to invent the idea of treating animals humanely; they just want to uphold that idea, regardless of its origin.

p.s. Icey, i know. i was messing around too. hence the double dose of happy faces :) :)

my mom had a bumper sticker for the longest time that said,

"Be a hero, Save a Whale, Save a Baby, Go to Jail."

it was very much effective if i may say so myself. -_-

and yes cmom, you are very much correct.

No they equate animals on the level of humans which is pretty much the same thing.

I like animals, I am owned by several of them. But they are creatures without an immortal soul, and are subject to us, not equal to us.

here is an email i sent them:

Stop harrassing Mel Gibson. Especially trying to use the good lord for your effort.

remember

Gen 9:3 - "Every creature that is alive shall be yours to eat; I give them all to you as I did the green plants."

You are going to try to protect animals instead of unborn babies. Think about it morons.

Foundsheep AkA Alfred Villegas

P.S. For every pic on how animals are slaughtered Ill show you an aborted fetus. Killing Babies is murder, Killing a cow makes a great burger!

feel free to do the same at info@peta.org
