Iacobus
Yeh if I were to swim I would swim in the area around Chicago and have seen enough nasty things near Museum Campus to know better. I normal swim up at Devil's Lake in Wisconsin when I go to the "beach." LOL, more rock than sand but it works.

Thomas
Wow, :rolling: I live in Canada. In fact, I live in the coldest Province in Canada:Saskatchewan. In the dead of winter we had about a week where everyday it was -50 to -53 degree's Celcius with the wind chill [Thats -63 degree's Fahrenheit]. We also had a blizzard that dropped so much snow that it took about 5 hours in total for me and my step-dad to shovel the drive-way. P.S.: They never cancelled school at all...and one day I missed the bus so I was walking 20-25 minutes in -63F. I bursted out laughing when I saw some people talk about weather in the 'minuses.' :rolling: Summer is coming soon though, I'm so excited! Just so you guys don't think our summer's are mild...40 degree's Celsius...or rather 104F for you guys...perfect sun-tanning weather. -Thomas
Colleen
I live in Canada. In fact, I live in the coldest Province in Canada:Saskatchewan. Is it really! I would have thought Nunavut was! Summer is coming soon though, I'm so excited! Just so you guys don't think our summer's are mild...40 degree's Celsius...or rather 104F for you guys...perfect sun-tanning weather. wisconsin's kinda like that, too. bitterly cold in winter, sometimes unbearably hot and humid in summer! my california cousins complained that it was too hot when they visited last summer! MithLuin
I have been to the 'beach' at Lake Michigan in Chicago. There were people swimming, but even though it was the summer, I just walked in the shallows. I had this afternoon off, because a watermain broke. No water = no school, because you can't keep people in a building without working toilets. Of course, for all those complaining...it's not like anyone in Georgia knows how to drive in the snow, so it really would be hazardous to try to drive on those roads....but because of the other drivers, not the snow! Maximilianus
I was in college when this thread was created. I don't remember if it snowed here. If it did I probably didn't have class either. That one inch is so daunting down here. Edited December 4, 2010 by Maximilianus
