MissScripture
Hillary would be a tad bit more acceptable being white, but yeah it's possible someone might be mad enough to do her in. Especially if she does get the nomination and picks a male VP. And kujo is right, it is sad.
I think there's still enough feeling against women by some (now, mind you I am soooo not feminisit, but there are people who do hate (don't hate, appreciate) women and don't want them in power). I don't think there is a large number, but it only takes one crazy person. Are there any women she would chose as her VP if she got the nomination? (I haven't really paid any attention to that stuff, so I don't know) And yes, it is very sad! I don't care how messed up someone's politics are, they shouldn't have to be afraid of being killed for it!
Lounge Daddy
Groups like "Catholics for Obama" don't surprise me. Neither is Catholics for Kerry. There will always be people who believe: #1 - that to be against war in all forms, one must never fight a war in any form. #2 - socialism is the best vehicle for social justice. Apotheoun
I would have voted for Margaret Thatcher in the early 1990s (if she had been an American), but I will never vote for Hillary Clinton.

I would love to have a qualified, moral woman in the White House. Same with blacks and other minorities. I don't care.
Justin86
I don't care at all about the gender or color of skin of my president. I want someone who I most agree with. The President's gender and skin color are not accomplishments, and I could care less about them.
kujo
"A Catholic would be guilty of formal cooperation in evil, and so unworthy to present himself for holy Communion, if he were to deliberately vote for a candidate precisely because of the candidate's permissive stand on abortion and/or euthanasia. When a Catholic does not share a candidate's stand in favor of abortion and/or euthanasia, but votes for that candidate for other reasons, it is considered remote material cooperation, which can be permitted in the presence of proportionate reasons." -Pope Benedict XVI. A mad enough Obama supporter... can anyone else visualize it? Or am I just overestimating the cult-like following Obama has? MissScripture
Okay, this is kind of a weird question, but if Obama WERE assasinated would it be considered a hate (don't hate, appreciate) crime?
CatherineM
I think assassinations are always hate (don't hate, appreciate) crimes. For that matter, I suppose all murders should be, but I understand what you're saying. Calling it a hate (don't hate, appreciate) crime just increases the penalties. I think presidential assassinations are already on the top peg.

I hate (don't hate, appreciate) the media thinking about everything that could hint at racism. They say such stupid stuff about Obama being black and hillary being a girl. I dont care if any person is black or a girl. I just want a good president whos pro-life and pro-more Guns baby!

But, thank you, I suppose it would make sense that presidential assasignations would be the top peg. I hadn't really thought about that fact.
