Hence we don't do it. This man's Christology is distinctly Mohammedan. According to him, Jesus didn't truly draw His humanity from His mother. So was there no placenta or umbilical cord involved? Was Jesus just created in the womb like Adam? I used to think Nestorianism was the only was to escape the title Mother of God, but I stand corrected. Islam also offers a way out. The religion was started by a delusional woman named Ellen White who thought that the Catholic Church was the whore of the Apocalypse, that America was the little beast, that the government was going to pass a law forcing true believers to worship on the false Sunday Sabbath, and that Jesus was going to come again around 1850. phatcatholic Posted February 25, 2004 Share Posted February 25, 2004 what's funny is that this guy thinks he is supporting the incarnation by denying the title of Mother of God to Mary, when in all actuality he is rejecting it. the whole reason the title was given to Mary was to support the incarnation! It is one of the first few, either Constantinople I, Chalcedon I.... it wasn't Nicea I.
