the_rev
Since I left seminary, I've been discerning entering into a relationship, but you know, its hard to find someone who is Catholic and the litany of other things that I am looking for in a girl; pro-life, etc. You know, one of my friends said that he wanted to "hook me up" with one of his friends, but when I gave him my list he told me I was way to picky. I guess, I'll keep on searching. She must be out there somewhere.

alicemary
Dont want to discourage you, but if you are over the age of 30, it will be very difficult to meet the kind of Catholic mate you are looking for. Most have been divorced at least once, many 2 or 3 times before. When you get to my advanced age in the 50,s it is next to impossible. I have very often dated outside my religion, that is not an issue for me. I certainly will not have children, that has also not been an issue. You could try your church, but if there is a single man, the woman swarm like bees to honey. Same thing with most singles clubs. You could try an internet site, there are some devoted to Catholics, and you know how to be cautious. Write me off phorm and we can chat if you are interested. I don't mean to discourage you, but this is not easy!! Alicemary

Cure of Ars
HisChildForever, there are a lot of good men out there. They just tend to be snatched up quick by decisive women. Men that wait until 30+ tend to have commitment issues. Church and Church type activities are probably your best bet. I met my wife in high school and we started to date because our best friends were dating. We got married when she finished college. My parents met at a Catholic Youth Rally. HisChildForever
Do you all want to hear a cute story? When my Mom was 19 and still in Brooklyn, she saw this little old Jewish lady trying to cross the street. My Mom helped her across the street, and to her home. The woman turned to my Mom and said, "Darling, do you have a man?" to which my Mom replied, "No." The woman then said, "Well, I'm going to pray that you get a man!" And a week later, she met my Dad at a house-warming party! (He knew the guy, she knew the gal.)

let_go_let_God
My college campus is "Catholic" and we have a group called Calling all Catholics. Well we met at a meeting there my freshman year where he came in late. A dear friend of ours unintentionally "hooked us up" by getting us talking to each other. I invited him to say a Rosary which was something our group did after its meetings and said friend with me became the ones who taught him to pray the Rosary. We met again the next evening on accident and it's been history since then. God bless- LGLG P.S. the whole story was far to long to type...
