What does that do to Obama's chances.
Probably increase them... I think Edwards is a pretty popular guy... it's hard to say, though. I really think the sad fact is that, it doesn't matter who the dem nominee is because they will probably win. I would like to think that some people who SWORE they wouldn't vote for R because of how disappointed they were in the R party would have changed their minds since the democratic party failed to swoop in and save the day since they've been the majority but.... unfortunately... I have a feeling that we're gonna end up with a pro-bad-choice president. And that makes me sad. I wish brownback would have run. You watch...he'll have some former general as his VP. In another thread, someone suggested Powell!
Apotheoun
Sad to say it, but the upcoming election looks like a repeat of 1996. The Republicans have once again nominated a man that is just too old.

So glad you're finally paying attention.
Isn't it amazing how people can ignore things that are right in front of their faces? Like the numerous people in these forums that scream about how peaceful "most" Muslims are, how the Koran is a peaceful book, and how Muslims are pretty much just like Catholics...while ignoring and denying all the facts that prove these notions are utter nonsense. And have not the foggiest clue what they are talking about...ignore it when you try to tell them...and claim ignorance of the facts later on. Same goes for the numerous people in this forum who ignore the facts about John "Juan" McCain and his relationships with America-hating open borders zealots like Juan Hernandez and La Raza ("The Race"). Now suddenly everyone is shocked to find out that Barack Obama is a brazen supporter of infanticide...something which has been all over the blogosphere in the Republican, conservative, Christian and pro-life communities. All over the blogsophere for months. The same people who will tell you that your opinions are wrong, who will deny the facts you present, who will feign surprise when they finally figure something out that they SHOULD have already known...these are the people who DON'T take the time to educate themselves and who don't bother to stay informed. But they will be the first ones to step up and tell you that your information is wrong. Edited May 15, 2008 by Madame Vengier

All the other guys dropped out one-by-one and McCain was the only one left standing. That's how he's become the nominee. Not through hard work or anything. I really feel that McCain being there does nothing but make it easier for Obama to win. I will be shocked..utterly shocked...if I wake up the morning after election day and John McCain is the winner. Madame Vengier
Had a discussion today that Hillary is trying to hang in there because some of the powers in the Demo party think she has a better chance of beating McCain. Don't know if I agree exactly, but I'm pretty sure if the big guys had told her to drop out, she would have by now, so they must want her to stay in the race. Someone also said that with Edwards jumping on Obama, that he might be wrangling the VP nomination for himself. What does that do to Obama's chances.
Can't stand Edwards. He has arrogance oozing out of every pore of his body. I can't stand to even watch him. All that arrogant, condescending eye-batting and finger-shoving he does, and how he loves to tell people what they "need" to do. Cocky [mod]edit--language--hsm[/mod]. And I can never forget how he made the statement (when he was campaigning) that America isn't a Christian country. Unbelievable. As much as I DON'T want Obama to win (or even be the Dem nominee) I can't see how Hillary has a *better* chance over him of beating McCain. This doesn't quite make sense to me. I think it's the reverse: I think McCain has a better chance of beating Hillary that he does beating Obama, which is why many, many Repubs want Hillary to beat Obama for the Dem nomination (which isn't going to happen--barring a miracle).
