goldenchild17
I sell all mine on ebay when I'm done with them. None of the texts I use in class are worth the ink they're printed on, much less worth keeping them around.
alicemary
Most text books are outdated by time by have been printed. Some things like literature may never change, but anything with facts etc are fairly useless in a year or so. Keep them for sentimental value, or because you enjoyed it. I would sell anything I could. I kept my books from nursing school and after carting them around for several decades tossed them a couple years back, they were antiques!! Valueless antiques!! The last couple semesters at school I stopped buying text books and did my work from online sources.

premed_jakey
I kept most books that I had for my major. I sold back ones that I could not stand, and the bookstore would actually give me money for.

VeniteAdoremus
I keep them all. They're extremely sexy, and they scare people, which is pretty cool. (And my friends from lower years keep stealing them so I won't have any problems with cleaning up if I ever want to...)
Cure of Ars
I kept mine. Didn't seem right selling a book back for 5$ when I bought it for $50. I basically use them as a decoration in my office at work.

isilzha
I always keep all my books because I always feel cheated with the amount they want to give you back. The one time I did try to sell it back they wouldn't take it. It was a math book that they had actually just photocopied and put in a binder and charged me like it was a real book. I tried to sell it back and they said they wouldn't take it. I never tried to sell anything back again. Although when I first started I always bought new books and towards the end of my undergrad and now in grad school I buy used ones whenever possible. MissyP89
I save my Journalism stuff--particularly the Associated Press Stylebook that has pretty much everything I'll need to know for formatting journalistic writing. I also kept my layout & design book, because it's spiralbound and has lots of pretty pictures.
