This is too bad. One shouldn't really wear the rosary unless one has no pockets or can't wear it on the wrist. As mentioned, the rosary should be under the shirt. Anywho, this is quite annoying to say the least. I haven't heard of that sort of thing up here though. Don't worry, it will finally be a fashion statement in Canada 10 years down the road

Easy solution.

If the student can recite the prayers of the rosary, allow them to wear it. If they can't, they shouldn't be wearing it in the first place.

Then, if nothing else, it'll force gangsters to learn the rosary!

Haha.

There's a dude who works at Target with me who wears a really nice thread rosary. I asked him whether or not he prays on it and he said "Dude, I'm Baptist. This is just a necklace."

If there wasn't a line, I would've schooled him. I guess I will have to do it tomorrow.

Wow. This gives a whole new meaning to what I used to do in the Novitiate at Ann Arbor. I was very fond of calling my fellow sisters, my "cholas!"

...little did we know!!![/quote]

Now I've got that song stuck in my head: "Lean Like a Cholo".

"Elbows up, side to side"

That is so definitely my jam, though I'm no "cholo."
