Before, during, or both?

I just LOVE those lyrics: "Sing a new Church into Being.."

How many years do you have to study to be approved for Liturgical Dance?? <_<

THANK GOD for the Fast Forward Button!

Most likely before. That "interpretive dancing" was pretty questionable.

And those giant paper mache priests were possibly one of the most frightening things I have ever seen. I would bet anything that they were used at a similar church service back in the 70s.

Well, if they were stoned, they kept their balance pretty well.

:ohno:

What the heck was that??? I am surprised that that.....thing didn't hit someone with his Ginormous hands. And maybe the purpose of the dancers was an artistic honing device so that they knew where to go... Good thing I haven't eaten yet.

And everyone saying the Words of Institution during Communion...
And the "Creator, Redeemer, and Sanctifier"...
And the Bobblehead Jesuses.
And the altar server in the t-shirt...
And the strange woman frolicking with the Gospels.

Is this what people WANT for our Church? No, seriously, someone tell me.

I think I feel faint. :weep:

JMJ

we gotta pray for those in this movement.
Browsing around the website, they seem to be very much for a "future church" movement. Ay, Lord, Have mercy!!

I made it through all of it, and cant believe that a valid priest allowed so many abuses to be committed at one time! My jaw dropped when i saw the woman dancing around with the Word.

Haha. Dude, my non-Catholic roommate walked in while I was watching this and was like "Is this Sesame Street for Catholics?"

"Call to Action" (CTA) is one of the most infamous "liberal Catholic" dissident groups, calling for radical change in Church doctrine and practice, pushing for women priests, married priests, change in the Church's sexual moral teachings, acceptance of homosexuality, the whole nine yards.

Yeah, that video was pretty ridiculous - I only watched through the lady's "sermon" - old people prancing and twirling about and wandering around in giant Bob Marley masks (or whatever the hell they were supposed to be) is only entertaining for so long. I swear I kept waiting for that old lady to keel over from dizziness with all the spinning around she was doing!

LOL - Notice how the vast majority of those "future church" people in that video appeared to be in their 60s and 70s!

This appears to be the final culmination of 40+ years of earnest pushing for "change" and "renewal" and making the "church of tomorrow" - a bunch of pathetic old people making geniuses of themselves.
