and yet they dismiss abstinence as practically stupid. sure, they admit that it's 100% effective, but they act like it's completely unrealistic:

"For the 27 million young Americans under the age of 25 who have had sex, the stakes are simply too high to talk only about abstinence," James Wagoner, president of Advocates for Youth, said in a statement.

where's the pro-abstinence, non-contraceptive side quote in this article? nowhere. it's shameful.

50%...

I'de say thats inflated. Look for another source. I have met one soul who has an STD.

you've probably met a lot more that don't come right out and say, "HEY MAN! I HAVE GENITAL WORTS!"

seriously...

i do think that that number is a bit inflated. Honestly, I know my junior class pretty well in high school, and i bet not even 50% have sex regularly. (i would say its hight, but not 50% high). so yeah i agree with the dude

Does this statement even make the least little bit of sense? Just forget the whole fact that they don't offer any support in favor of abstinence, because with a statement like this you will never get any farther. This quote should go into one of those "Stupidest Quotes..." books. Anyone know how to submit this?

Does dear Jimmy realize that not having sex completely negates the problem and then he wouldn't even have to say something so blatently confusing and unitelligent.

I think that number still might be a little inflated. But it is not inflasted more than a few points. Plus even half that number is still sickening. What is happening to us?
