I Got An E-mail From A Canadian Friend

I find this to be a disturbing trend, especially since I live so close to Canada (Detroit actually touches Canada, which I find to be a little gross). I went to school in the far north of Michigan where we had much contact with Canadians that crossed the border to go to our school. Many of the words out of their mouths were "eh" and I must admit for a time I picked up on it.

That being said, we should forgive Canadians for the "eh" since they are almost always far more polite than those of us in the states, I've never met a rude Canadian.

I think this is a stereotypical thread, eh. Let's not get into Canadian bashing. Lets talk aboot pie. I'm all for that.

hoosieranna

You typed "aboot"! :P You remain flippin' awesome.

I can type "crick" if you want to hear the stereotypical accent for my region. Or "antanna" and "warsher."

Noel's angel

randomproddy says it a lot and he's English. I would only use it if I was questioning something, as in 'eh?'

That's the only time i use it; sounds much better than turning statements into questions with the word "huh."
