I have issues with people using our sacramentals to furthur their own pursuits of power (and destruction in her case,) but like everyone is saying, it could change her life! Mary may be working on her as we speak!
We should help by saying one Hail Mary a day for hillary. Geez, if we all did that, she'd probably divorce Bill and enter a convent somewheres!
you have no idea if its a sacramental or not

By objectively, do you mean if it were someone not political or someone other than Hillary Clinton?

For it to be a sacramental, would it have to be blessed?

Would people be raising a stink if she were holding a bible? Don't we want pro-death people to convert? I give rosaries out to anybody who asks for one. I don't worry about whether or not they are deserving. I figure they have a better shot of learning the importance of it if they have it. Its not like the Eucharist folks.

Well, a Bible is not viewed as quite so strictly a Catholic thing, but I'd agree with you. I've given medals to friends who are not Catholic, and I am quite pleased when they wear them...or lose them and ask me for another one, because at least I know it means something to them.

Many faiths have a devotion to Mary. She's mentioned more times in the Qur'an than she is in the New Testament. Some of the best quotes are: a Chosen One (3.42); a Purified One (3.42); a Truthful one (5.75); a fulfillment of Prophecy (66.12); a vessel for the Spirit of The-God breathed into her (66.12); her child conceived through "a Word from The-God" (3.45); and "exalted above all women of The Worlds/Universes" (3.42).

Where can I get a bracelet like that? It looks great.

Edit: Wait, is that a ladies bracelet, or do men wear it as well?

Hillary for Mother Superior: Why Catholics prefer Clinton to Obama

The Washington Post notes that "[w]hite Catholics have been a Clinton mainstay throughout the nomination contest. She has won the group by double-digits in 16 of the 22 states where data were available. In Pennsylvania, Clinton won 70 percent of all Catholics." The fact that more-devout Catholic voters go even more decisively for Clinton—among those who attend Mass at least weekly, she won 3-to-1—suggests that the correlation goes beyond other demographic factors.

I don't get it, although the above has to be taken with a grain of salt, I think. These are Democratic primaries, after all. We'll have to see how the numbers shake out during the general election, although the reality is there's no really good pro-life candidate amongst the Big Three.

Let's not forget, there's a big difference between a self-proclaimed Catholic and a devout, practicing Catholic.

That's why I cited:

Granted, we're dealing with self-reporting here, and we don't know the raw numbers - was it four people and of those four, three supported Clinton - but unless everybody's lying about attending Mass at least once a week, again, I don't get it.

men wear it too. i am looking for a less discrete, black'ish one, as opposed to a big red or rose colored one. they run about 3-5bucks. they're pretty common, so any Catholic shop should have one. i heard that some mainstream shops like the Gap may have them now, too.

1) She wore it on election night, when election was over.

2) I'm a good Irish Catholic boy, and I'd never heard of this.

3) It is only a piece of Jewelry, not a devotion like the Rosary.

Some of my family members are STAUNCH republicans and voted for hillary in the democractic primaries--not because they like her, but because they believe that McCain has a better chance of beating Obama.

Many republicans I know have done the same.

I had heard about the demographics. Evidently when the Indiana primary was going on a couple of Tuesdays ago, political analysts said that the county that had Notre Dame in it would be an easy win for Hillary. Catholic voters like her for some reason.

The problem I had with her wearing the bracelet was that it seems manipulative. I doubt she is wearing it out of private motivations, but is using an image of the Blessed Virgin to get a vote. But Our Lady has a way of turning hearts, so keep on wearing that Hillary!
