ruso
I would like to start a thread on congregations that broke away, considering some not marching on the right track, Start by the Company of our Lady, founder for S. Jeanne de Lestonnac in 1556, a sisters devoted to education of the girls. They were like the Jesuits, to be named "company" like them and like them after the council took to the "modernity" and "social justice". Although his work remains commendable, has lost much of its charisma, can see them here at the present time in USA. They was 3200 sisters in 1970, today only 1500. http://www.companyofmary.us/sjdls/index.php In 1987 the sisters of convent- school of Talavera de la Reina, in Spain, are separated from the order and found The Daughers of Mary our Lady. This is not a new foundation appeared in the Church in modern times, but a resurgence of the Company of Mary. After the dismal changes and developments absurd that had suffered the Order, in October 17 of 1987 Monastery-school Talavera, in a fervent desire to return to the real sources, according to the invitation of the Council, was erected in monastery "Sui iuris ", under the auspices of the Servant of God John Paul II. The sisters also refer to the constitutional closing, which is limited to only what is necessary to leave for the good of the apostolic work and waive any exit utility personnel or family, except those necessary. Vocations soon arrive, and have another school and high- school in Madrid and plan other foundations. ruso
This other excision, has led to a great institute, Daughters of Holy Mary of the Heart of Jesus What began in 1958, with the goal of conserving the spirituality and the life style of the Province of Spain, the mother Maria de jesus, end with the approval of its new institute in 1998. Here the story: http://hijasdesantamariadelcorazondejesus....%A9s/Mother.htm Before you were part of Daughters of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart, a good institute, but "modernized". Sisters of the Daughters of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart today And depended on the Spanish province, almost all foundations in Latin America today have their noviciates filled, even in Spain where there are not many vocations, so it is easily spread to other countries. They are the Spanish institute of higher growth, are currently some 380 professed sisters and 130 in initial formation. Exemple of 1º post. http://bp2.blogger.com/_lCjeEOJTLoo/R2u3Mj...-h/HMNS+(2).jpg Novices of the Daughters of Mary our Lady, excision of the Company of our Lady, below some sisters today of the Company of our Lady today. http://bp0.blogger.com/_lCjeEOJTLoo/R2u2pD...-h/CMNS+(6).jpg In the second instance, is quite clear that the Daughters of Mary of the Holy Heart of Jesus, are more loyal to religious life and therefore they separated from the Daughters of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart, and the latter also seem good religious sisters. VeniteAdoremus
The Dominican Sisters of St. Joseph did the same, although I don't know if "broke off" is the right word for it. The way they told me, they first ran an experiment within the community where some of the sisters would have more of the life in common, etc., and this grew into two distinct communities who eventually split up canonically. the lords sheep
Well, the CFRs are a renewal of the Capuchian Franciscans who seperated in the 1980s. And the Religious Sisters of Mercy of Alma are a renewal who separated from the Sisters of Mercy of the Americas in 1973.
