Blackthorne
It's that time of the year again. The time where I'm sent out to the field with unreliable communications, no sleep and um... lemon cake stuff. Anyhow, Iceprincesskrs, send me a PM when you get this. I can't seem to open the PM window out here but I think I can read them. On with the news. The night I left I noticed the distinct smell of rotten eggs in the track vehicle. It disappeared after a few minutes, unless I left and came back then I smelled it again. Righto. I was suspicious and wikipedia provided me with a very useful answer in the form of Hydrogen Sulfide. Good news is, I can stand up to like 350 PPM (parts per million, I learned something new today) and the body can usually detoxify without any "really bad" side effects. Which is good, because L, J and myself all slept in the track two nights ago and I'm still alive. So now we keep the track well ventilated (read: Really, really freezing). Was up till 2300 last night with L and the new PSG trying to get the stupid internet to work. After spending about 3 hours trying to fix it, L looks up at the router and says, "Oh, port 44 is orange." Well, that explains alot because in layman's terms the whole internet goes through that port. The switch board is going bad and I still have to come in here jiggle it every once in a while. I swear I could have built a better system out of lego blocks and spit. Hope you and the kids are ok. I love you!

IcePrincessKRS
Thanks SMM. Kids are doing ok. Genevieve has developed the gooey eyes in addition to the runny nose. Same as Charlotte had. AND, its not pink eye. Just some viral cold thing. I was going to run them up to the doctor today but couldn't get an appointment and when I called M. to let her know the girls wouldn't be going to gymnastics she said she'd taken her kids in yesterday and the doc said its just a part of the cold, not pinkeye, and to let it run its course. Meh. So, I'm not taking the kids out until it clears up a bit more. Adrienne, so far, remains clear. haha Didn't we have running commentary on how sick the kids were last time you did this? I think so... We're holding up ok in any case. Legos and spit.

I have no idea what you are all talking about.[/quote] Icey's husband is Blackthorne, and when he is out on top secret mission thingys the easiest way for him to communicate with her is on PM, so they get to entertain the rest of us with their love letters. It's cute. P.S. Apparently, their kids get sick every time he leaves, so they talk about sick kids, a lot. IcePrincessKRS
They let him come home because I got sick (102 fever, headache, sore throat.... meh). Which is why the little love notes and updates haven't been continuing.... but in another couple of weeks he will be gone again for more training and I'm sure they'll start up again.
