CatherineM
Instead of the green, how about red. Red doors are supposed to be welcoming.

IcePrincessKRS
Oh, don't paint the brick.... what a PITA.
Old_Joe
I picked number 7 because it reminds me of the house from the movie, "The Quiet Man" starring John Wayne.
Veritas
+ 3 is the most elegant and fresh option. Options 6 & 7 are too crayola and definitely not in keeping with tudor. It is a lovely home!
Justin86
Guywithafoil got it the best, but really, don't paint the bricks. That'll just make anything look nastier. dUST, you have one ugly house.
GuyWithAFoil
My Mom thinks you should paint the door and lighten it up. I like the first two options as they look a bit more traditional. but I also think you need some color somewhere!

[/quote] Oh, I wouldn't suggest painting it, but can't you sandblast the carp out of whitewashed bricks until they look like they should?
Autumn Dusk
I'd go for the green, and perhaps painting the door green.

prose
A red door traditionally means welcome and is common on Tudor houses. I found this online: For an English Tudor house, the color of the roof of the house, determines the rest of the color scheme for the exterior. So you may not be able to experiment with colors. Use colors that compliment the surrounding of the house use natural colors on the exteriors. Edited March 19, 2008 by prose
