N/A Gone
After finally finishing my Filioque paper, I got my letters of recommendation, my app and a special letter to Fr. Pattee all together and applied for the FUS distance program. I am very nervous and hope I get accepted. I have wanted to be part of this program ever since I converted at my protestant bible college. Prayers please. btw, I gave up phatmass while finishing the paper as to not get distracted. But I am back now. Woot-woot is in order.
CatherineM
Lots of prayers. I remember when I was sweating out getting in the MTS program at Newman. I'm sure they will snap you up.
Luthien
If you ever need a place to stay, L_D and I have plenty of room! Bring your wife!!
N/A Gone
I appreciate the offer!!!! Phatty and Brother Adam helped me with the recommendation forms. I am really, really nervous on this. I want it so bad. Tell L_D hi for me, we have not talked in a while. btw, this is for the Master's distance program. I have an undergrad in theology and Gen Ministry from a protestant bible college. The issue of concern is that my grades took a nose dive after my conversion because of the anti-catholic nature of the professors. I wrote Fr. pattee a 2 page single space letter explaining the situation and my passion for theology. I also attached a 39 page filioque paper I recently finished. I am just nervous for the wait. rkwright
rev good to see you around! I hope it goes well and you get into FUS. After the masters, then what? Teaching?
N/A Gone
I would love to teach. I was a TA for 3 years, I have owned my own company for 3 years so I love speaking in front of crowds. My dream is to be a professor of theology at a school for 30 years or so. Publish a couple books and be a beacon of orthodoxy to create legit change and devotion to faith. A big thing right now is that with a protestant undergrad I am not getting many offers to work in a church situation. So I need the catholic education as well. WOW I hope FUS accepts me. CatherineM
Maybe you should give Scott Hahn a call. He knows what it is like making that transfer from Protestant credentials to Catholic ones. Doesn't he teach at Franciscan?
N/A Gone
He does teach there. I am not sure if he fields calls. Rumor has it the average wait period is a month. So I am just gonna be nervous and jittery about this for a month.
