Modesty: Does It Include Bare Feet?

EJames, you got a kick out making me look at feet didn't you. Ick. I could never be discalced.

That said St. Paul to the Romans does not say, 'And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, "How beautiful are the bare feet of those who bring good news!"' He could just as easily say "How beautiful are the feet, clad in shoes, of those who bring good news!"

Sometimes those preaching the gospel wear shoes well.

Here is a devil advocate's question. If it is not the intent of the person wearing the open toed shoe to sexualize their feet, is it considered immodest? For example, some black "fancy" heels are very very pretty to me. I would wear them (if I didn't fear the pain and the risk of twisting my ankle) but I would wear them because I thought they were pretty, not to "turn on" someone.
