Hooray...

Hooray!!!

When I got back from my holiday, my first ever Rosary had arrived in the post! :D It didn’t cost much, but I really like it! The beads are red and it has a devotional medal to St. Michael (I’ll post a pic when I can)

The company I got it from also sent a little plastic Rosary as well (is this usual?) Its nice too, I’ve taken it to work to keep in my briefcase (for when I’m out and about).

But…

…it glows in the dark!!!

Whats that all about? Anyone got one similar?

Anyway, I’ve got no excuse now for not saying loads of Rosaries! :)

You're first Rosary? That's so cool!!!!!

I have a glow in the dark plastic rosary too. Those come in handy when you need to carry around a little rosary that can take a beating. I only carry one of my nice Rosaries on special occassions.

I'm so happy for you that you have a Rosary now!!!!

Cool beans I recently got my new rosary, it is a cord rosary, with knots, since I always break the beads and chains!

Take care and God Bless,

REV

Richard,

I know you like Mother Teresa so I thought I would tell you this.

I once had the exact same Rosary as Mother Teresa (my mom got it for me) but I lost it somehow. :(

Maybe you could get one someday from the internet or something.

Peace

Yeah, that would be cool! I do love Mother Teresa - such a strong woman. :)

If Rosaries are like anything else in my life in which I take an interest, I'll have hundreds before I know it! I must be a bit of a collector/hoarder or something.

Yeah, the glow-in-the-dark rosaries are not that nice-looking, but they last!

May you wear out your new rosary with many prayers! Congrats! :)

I rembaer my 1st Rosary, I made it in CCD. LOL. I needed one that could take a beating for when I go camping and stuff last year so I made another one. I made it out of the chain you use to make the pull strings on ceiling fans and lights, used a chuck key for a cross and nuts for the Hail Mary beads and a tubey thing for the Our Father beads. It was pretty cool, wieghed like 5 pounds but I liked it.

Glow in the dark rosaries are to take to bed with you. You can find them and they won't break if you roll over on them.

The other kind breaks under the covers. It is very depressing at 6 am to look for little tiny metals thingys that you slept on.

I didn't know people owned more than one rosary at a time or that there were so many different types!! :D

I was really upset when the rosary beads my Nan gave me when I was a little girl broke recently.....it was older than most people at Phatmass!

I have 1 and a half Rosarys. I have my good one that I bought, I gave the one I made to my little brother, and Virtual Rosary which is all the prayers of the Rosary on the computer. It is pretty cool.
