RosaMystica
Hello! There is a Bridgettine convent in Connecticut: http://www.birgittines-us.com/ There aren't any pictures of them on their website but there are some here: http://www.digitaljournalist.org/issue0210...ign/sm_0210.htm God bless, Mandy Edited March 10, 2008 by RosaMystica
VeniteAdoremus
The Beguines, if you mean "begijnen", technically aren't nuns. They don't take the vow of poverty. They are, however, religious women living in community. I was under the impression that the last one in the Netherlands died about ten years ago (still in full habit). The last one in Belgium died in January 2003. I found a site that speaks of "some women looking into re-establishing", but it hasn't been updated since 2003. So, unfortunately, there is at least a hiatus in the tradition...
