When you are hungry, since it is a physical hunger, remember to feed it with spiritual food. Sometimes the more we pray the less hungry we become. In essence, we feed one aspect of the body in order to satiate the other.

I do feel like a hypocrite saying that, but I do remember that it was a great consolation and what I mean by a great means of prayer for me.

Hang in There! You are not doing it for yourself, but for Him!

God Bless

Thanks! You are right on!

I was hungry before and I kept saying a little of the Rosary each time I felt hungry. It definitely helped (probably why I don't feel the physical hunger anymore). I've finished saying the Rosary once completely already. YAY!

Gotta love the Phamily! ;)

I ate a bunch of food yesterday thinking it would help, but have since found out that you actually feel more hungry as your body digests food, so I guess it backfired.

I can do it though, this is nothin'. But I think I'll be going shopping tonight for some really good breakfast food. haha

Same here Vera. For supper I take a few bites and spread stuff around my plate so it looks like I ate. Its prob. a bad thing to do, but If I say that I'm not hungry my mom gets really worried.

I think Vera's parents aren't too supportive of her faith, if I'm not mistaken.

Yesterday was hard, but I had a yummy breakfast today. It's all good!

…and now, my colleague who sits next to me has just got out BOXES of biscuits and cake bars etc!!!

He’s packed in smoking (not for Lent, he’s an Atheist – he just packed in anyway) and is using biscuits cakes and sweets as a substitute. Precicely what I’ve given up for Lent and it’s worse today because I’m fasting!!

Lord give me strength!

Yeah, I agree with you Dust, tuesday I ate a lot, thinking it would make me not hungry Wednesday. It turns out in an email I got from a food fasting organazation, the more you eat the day before, the more you get hungy.

And Thursday I didn't feel good, but I"m still gonna fast, for the greater honor and glory of God!
