The priest was hold quite a large portion.[/quote] No...that was part of an Italian loaf or something. The Eastern Rites receive directly on the tongue, I'm pretty certain, on a golden spoon, and their Body of Christ is already soaked in the Precious Blood, so holding it like that would be pretty difficult. Of course, I'm not completely certain, but generally, when the bread looks like an Italian loaf or something, it probably was a more "open-minded" (meaning their brains have fallen out) parish that asks parishioners to donate bread for Mass, which usually results in invalid Eucharist because most laypeople have no clue how to make bread for Mass. prose
Well, I have just gone to an Eastern Rite Mass last Sat, and they definitely had the two species combined and given directly in the mouth on a spoon. However, maybe these pictures were symbolic or something. I dunno. Maybe they are for protestants? Anyways, the other pictures on the site are really beautiful. Both were very particular about recipes. Neither would have accepted an Italian loaf. The laypeople were specifically instructed on how to prepare the bread properly.
