Small world!

W.P. "Bill" Wittman and his wife Peggy were my R.C.I.A. teachers/catechists (@ St. Christopher's Parish, Mississauga, Ontario). Wonderful, amazing people.

Bill is an outstanding photographer as well, as evidenced by his website.

There were some pictures of leaven bread, and some of unleaven hosts. None with both together that I saw.

I would assume this was because they were providing Catholic photography for both the right and left lungs (as JPII put it).

In the Roman Rite leavened bread is strictly forbidden.

Can. 926 According to the ancient tradition of the Latin Church, the priest is to use unleavened bread in the eucharistic celebration whenever he offers it.

None of the pictures I saw were of Eastern Rite Churches.

I've never seen a nuns' habit like this one. Are they nuns?

Also handing the chalice to the communicant to take a sip is a new practice to me. Is it common there?

In the Roman Rite in the United States the chalice is always handed to the communicant.

Those aren't habits, but are actually albs.

Those aren't nuns, I assure you. Also, yes, it is "common" to hand the chalice to the communicant to take a sip. Whether it is correct, however, is another question.

Welcome to the Canadian Church!

Some of the other pics are quite nice though :)

Lil' Red...LOL
The "altar girls" at my church wear albs as well... it's strange.
