BG45
So I'm watching Mass from DC at the national cathedral/shrine of the immaculate conception...WHICH OF YOU THREE WAS IT IN WHAT LOOKED LIKE PHATMASS HOODIES?! Sorry for caps, but Missy is just going "Some people from PM are going to be there", and then I go "Really?" and the next thing I saw looked like three people in a row wearing Phatmass hoodies! They were a bit rumpled so I couldn't read the writing, but it really looked like Phatmass!! I mean, as far as I know we don't have hoodies, but it still looked like it said Phatmass on them! Complete apologies if I'm totally wrong and excited for no reason and it's not people in PM hoodies. Edit: Sitting behind some nuns. And I'm not about to watch TBN if I want something I agree with.

You'd think I'd remember the difference, having toured both before... Remarkably little chaos given the size of the congregation, in the reception of the Eucharist. Veritas
+ I'm watching, too. I love EWTN.
jeffpugh
I love that hymn that they're playing as they process out! Unfortunately, I didn't get to catch it because I was at practice for a high school musical... Anywho, it's a beautiful shrine! BG45
A definition of irony for you all PM. My Catholic roommate and his Catholic girlfriend having...certain relations, during all this, using at least two contraceptive methods; while I'm the one watching EWTN and this pro-life Mass... And Veritas, I love EWTN too. *glances around to make sure no one heard that from around here*
jeffpugh
I'd be yellin at the "Catholic" room mates... but then, that's me Btw, the priests seem to pour out of nowhere! Remarkable! Btw, the organ solo is soo sweet. Beautiful polyphony. Edited January 22, 2008 by Sacred Music Man
BG45
I know, the priests never seem to end!! I've only been there when it's more or less empty, never when full...and I'm fast gaining an appreciation for how many people that huge space holds. As for the "Catholic" roommates, only one of them lives here. We actually had a talk earlier when I joked he could watch EWTN, and had to explain to his girlfriend what it was. He's not stepped foot in a church in over three years, and amusingly, she thought I must be Catholic to watch EWTN.
jeffpugh
Ha. Funny. Meh, I'm glad you're on our side! The Liturgy of the Word (part of the mass) is pretty much set out for the rest of the year. Try and catch some daily masses for the word, too. The verses are pretty much consecutive. In 3 years we cover the bible
Luthien
I saw the priest that married L_D and I. I also saw my bishop. Awesome.
