Brother Adam
http://www.passionchrist.com/ Here is one example of what efforts are being taken to share the "truth" about the Passion story that was twisted, lied about, or not shown in the "secular hollywood" movie "The Passion of the Christ"
Circle_Master
dude, it isn't saying anything in the movie is wrong, it is for people who may have questions regarding the validity of the movie. My church is doing the same thing... It's a decent tool for preparing your congregation to know some history around the time so they can talk to their friends about the movie. Iacobus
The site didn't appear to say anything in the movie was wrong. They said they are prepared to fill in any "errors of omission." Or correct the story where it may have left the Truth. I think it is a good idea, tells people the story of Christ in a greater detail. LOL. Or they could be scared the The Passions of the Christ might turn into a Catholic Da Vinici Code. Lies based on truth proporting as truth.
Circle_Master
Nah, most of the churches that are putting this together have seen it already. My pastor saw it last week and said it was very good. Quite graphic too.
dUSt
I imagine that a lot of Churches will try to explain away the Catholic theology in the movie, because make no doubt about it, there is some strong Catholic theology presented in it. My guess is that they will explain it to their congregations in whatever way suits their beliefs the best.

Such as when the Blessed Virgin stomps on the serpent's head!
FX2
i heard the actor who played Jesus Christ actually had to have his shoulder dislocated while doing the crucifixion scene to make it look authentic.
Dave
I think I heard Jim Caviezel dislocated his shoulder, but are you sure it was deliberate and not an accident?

cmotherofpirl
Most people don't go quite that far for film authenticity.
Jake Huether
I think I heard Jim Caviezel dislocated his shoulder, but are you sure it was deliberate and not an accident? Yeah, I heard it was an accident. But he didn't want it replaced until the shot was over. It wasn't done on purpose, but once it was done, it was left out on purpose to make the shot more authentic. thicke
Yeah, I heard it was an accident. But he didn't want it replaced until the shot was over. It wasn't done on purpose, but once it was done, it was left out on purpose to make the shot more authentic. The man was obviously dedicated. Thank you Jim Caviezel! JP2Iloveyou
believe me, I have heard a first hand account from Jim Caviezel himself that it was an accident that he dislocated his shoulder.
