Vincent Vega

St. Vincent de Paul. (St. Elizabeth Ann Seton and St. Catherine Laboure are close seconds and thirds...is my Vincentian bias too apparent? )

St. Catherine Laboure

Marian. Hidden. Devoted to duty for years on end.

Model for our own life of prayer and service, and parish-friend for as long as I can remember.

Our Blessed Mother - the Queen of all Saints...of all people, Christ cannot refuse a petition from His Blessed Mother. Whenever we turn to Her as Her little children, She takes all of our petitions, purifies them, perfects them and takes them directly to Her Beloved Son, while intereceding for us.

My other favorite saints are:

St. Anthony of Padua
St. Francis deSales
St. John of the Cross
St. Francis of Assisi
and the list goes on...

St Therese of Lisieux (Confirmation patron) and St Frances de Sales.  I have other patron saints, but the aforementioned are those that have most influenced my spiritual theological thinking (if I can call it that :) ) and created real learning curves in my journey to date, resulting in an active-to-date appreciation of their writings.  Also informed articles about their life, thought and writings.

St. Mary of Egypt.  When I was coming back to Catholicism, I attended an Orthodox church for a time and they had this icon of her and I don't know what happened, but she became my "go to" person in this journey. I know that sounds crazy.  When I converted to Catholicism back in the Long Ago, I took the name Macrina (the younger).  Hence the profile pic.  Three words for St. Mary of Egypt as she seems for me: repentance, love, hiddenfortheLord.

If I were to choose one, it would probably be St. Clare right now. Maybe. But a list:

Our Lady

St. Clare

St. Therese

St. Francis

St. Colette

I'm sure there are others, but those have been the most prominent ones lately.

Now that the controversy in open-mic about bringing back dead threads seems to have calmed down, I'm resurrecting this one in honor of All Saints' Day.  My favorite saints have remained the same, although one has since been beatified.

So, who are your favorite saints?
