CatholicCid
Simple as the title states. How did you find your Spiritual Director? Or did he find you?
Starets
My parish priest was my spiritual director for a while but he has moved on.
veritas99
My parish priest was reassigned. I had gone to him for confession regularily so he knew me well and knew from otehr things as well. About a year after he left, I really started looking at religious life and knew I needed help in my discernment. I prayed for the guidence of the Holy Spirit and decided I would call up for my former priest to ask if he would have the time for spiritual direction. We met a few times and discussed if this was a good fit, both of us felt like it was good fit. He's been my spiritual director now for about a year and a half. shortnun
My graduate school runs a Spiritual Direction Certificate program. I merely asked for a local list of directors and contacted them from there. My first spiritual director (before this one) was recommended by a friend of a friend. For those interested in finding spiritual directors in their area, this is the most comprehensive (and ecumenically inclusive) list I've found: http://www.sdiworld.org/

I've been looking for one but no luck:(. Anyone knows any spiritual director (s) in Orange County, California, please pass on the information to me. In addition, if she/he is far way, I don't mind doing it via phone, email, or blog, if we are a good match--well, you know what I meant. Thanking in advance. CatherineM
Found mine by accident. I met her at a function, and we got to talking. She's on the other side of the world from me now, but we still communicate daily.
Mari Therese
I found mine by Divine Providence. I spent months visiting various priests, but none of them clicked. I moved to a new city, my friend gave me some priests names. The last priest that I met is now my wonderful SD. Praise Jesus!
